Early Childhood Education

Hudson Guild provides high quality care to 2, 3, and 4 year-old children year round, offering Head Start, Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) and NYC Early Learn child care.

Our nurturing environment fosters independence for kids, promoting the development of school readiness and social-emotional skills. Skilled teachers, bright classrooms and healthy meals are all part of the child’s experience, as we encourage them towards life-long learning.

To address each child’s health, development and education needs, Hudson Guild uses lesson planning and curriculum tools from a range of local and national experts, including:
Healthy Eating for a Healthy Start (Children’s Museum of Manhattan and the United Way)
Eat Well Play Hard (NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene)
Go Smart (National Head Start Association)
Safe Touch Curriculum (New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children)
Social Emotional Reading Curriculum, (Morningside Center for Social Responsibility).

Children in Hudson Guild’s Early Childhood Education Program represent the diverse cultural, economic and backgrounds of our community, and our centers are located in multiple locations on the West Side of Manhattan.
