The Beacon Program is a school-based community center offering young people and families diverse opportunities to grow and participate in the life and spirit of their communities. The program addresses the reality that many young people have nowhere to go and nothing to do during the hours that school is not in session.

Over 2,000 students participate in such programs as athletics, performance arts, career counseling and more. Building character is of paramount importance within this program, a key focus in persuading young people that they can fulfill their dreams, perhaps moving onto college.

Programs: Drama, Beginning Hip-Hop, Dance, Youth Council, Man Made (boy’s group), college and career counseling, bimonthly prevention presentations and more!

Gym Hours: Mondays, 16 years and older; Tuesdays, 11-15 years; Fridays, 16 years and older, and Saturday basketball from 3-7pm.
