Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC)
is comprised of representatives from each Guild program as well as
at-large members; two NAC members serve on the Guild’s Board of
Trustees. Advising Guild staff and trustees, this committee regularly
hosts forums to solicit community responses on a wide range of issues and
to stimulate debate on how to jointly make Chelsea a better community for all. The Town Meeting Series
included forums on public elementary education, police and community
relationships and dealing with the aftermath of 9/11.

The Chelsea Community
Supported Agriculture Project, the Guild’s organic food
co-op, partners with a regional family farm. Members buy shares on a sliding
scale, making fresh produce affordable for all income levels, including
those paying with food stamps. Members also write the Project’s
newsletter and plan seminars on healthy eating.
