K-8 Summer Camp

This summer, Hudson Guild's K-8 Summer Camp is back at the Elliott Center for the first time since 2019. The program has been off to a great start! Each week our participants have been learning about citizenship, honesty, respect, compassion, responsibility, courage and perseverance through engagement in art, STEM, literacy, physical wellness, and field trips, while having fun every day. Click on the image above to see what the campers have been up to this summer!

To support this essential program, the Junior Advisory Board is seeking to raise $10K to ensure more kids are able participate at this critical time in their development. The funds we raise will help offset the costs associated with summer camp and athletic programs, helping these young students enjoy the summer and get back on track ahead of the new school year. Arts Exhibits This Summer

Go Figure! featuring hundreds of fantastical creatures created by Rick Krieger will be shown at Guild Gallery II in Hudson Guild’s Fulton Center from July 7th through September 1st. His association with Hudson Guild goes back to 1989 and has since co-curated many shows at both of the Guild’s galleries.

The Art of the Reveal, a group show featuring contemporary quilts, will open at Hudson Guild Gallery in the Elliott Center on August 11th and run through October 13th. The Art of the Reveal is a group show organized by Will Daniels, featuring work by 15 artists from the New York City Metro Modern Quilters Guild, a group which takes a contemporary and experimental approach to quilt making.

Technology Literacy Programs for Older Adults

In May, Aaron Corbin joined the Hudson Guild team as the Technology Coordinator, with the goal of addressing our older adult participants' need for technology literacy. After conducting initial assessments, Aaron has been facilitating weekly workshops in the Spectrum Computer Lab at our Fulton Community Center covering topics including, smartphone basics, passcode safety, downloading files, google drive functionality, as well as individual lessons for people.

BlackRock Volunteer Event

Volunteers from BlackRock made a couple of visits to the Fulton Community Center in July to help prepare teen participants for their upcoming transitions into college and future career plans. Resume building, interview preparedness, and college readiness were just a few of the workshops held by the volunteers. A special thanks to BlackRock for helping our teen participants develop the knowledge, skills, and habits that are needed to be successful in their future endeavors.
