Pfizer Day

augnews2.png

On July 25th, we held our 5th Annual Pfizer Takeover Day! An event which started in 2019, each year Pfizer partners with us for a day of community service and engagement!

At this year’s event, we had over 80 volunteers at our Elliott, Fulton, & Children’s centers participating in reading and arts activities with early childhood education kids, a beautification project at our Elliott Center, a healthy living exercise with older adults, and STEM lessons with summer camp youth.

It’s days like these that remind us of the power of community and the joy that comes from making a difference.

Dance & Magic Show on The High Line

From Bollywood to Afro-Cuban, tap, and modern, dancers from Matthew Westerby Company put on a wonderful show on The High Line for our early childhood education kids.

After a ride through several different dances, participants enjoyed a magical performance by magician and entertainer, The Great Ragidy Supreme.

BlackRock & Google Volunteers

In early July to start the summer, volunteers from BlackRock joined us for painting activities, reading time, custom visor-making, STEM challenges, slime-making, and games in the gym with early childhood education and summer camp program participants.

We also had HR professionals from Google volunteer at our Fulton Community Center to conduct one-on-one resume building sessions.

Thanks to both BlackRock and Google for all you do for the individuals and families in our community!
