Back to School Bash

Last month, hundreds of young students and their families came to our annual Back to School Bash! We gave away hundreds of book bags filled with back-to-school essentials while enjoying food, games, music, & face-painting.

A huge thank you to Disney VoluntEARS from The Walt Disney Company for sponsoring and making this event so special for another year! A shout out also goes out to the volunteers from 605TV for helping us distribute school supplies.

Related Volunteer Day

In August, 100 members of the construction and development groups from Related Companies came together for a day of fruitful and engaging activities at our Elliott, Fulton, & Children’s centers! At Elliott Center and Children’s Center, they played, read, and participated in STEM activities with K-8 summer campers. At Fulton Community Center, they spent the morning playing board games with older adult participants. Volunteers also spent hours gardening and planting beautiful flowers around our centers.

Last Day of Summer Camp with BlackRock

To celebrate the last day of this year’s K-8 Summer Camp, our friends from BlackRock spent the afternoon with campers participating in science experiments and arts activities. As the final hours of summer camp came to a close, the volunteers and campers celebrated with a dance and ice-cream party!

Migratory Patterns

Migratory Patterns is a new dance performance by choreographer Matthew Westerby, in collaboration with co-producer and Hudson Guild Director of Arts, Jim Furlong, that is performed by a multi-generational cast of professional dancers along with community dancers from Hudson Guild Theatre Company. Inspired by the phenomenon of migration, the piece represents the personal heritage and identity of each performer. The performance will take place on Friday, September 29th at 6:00 PM on The High Line, 14 Street & 10th Avenue.

Save the Date

Save the date for this year's free Community Haunted House! Doors will open on Saturday, October 21st at 6:00 PM as the Elliott Center will be transformed into a spooky haunted house for all ages!
